Funding

The Project started with the Artists Agency Programme with Helix Arts. The arts charity was born on Wearside in 1983 and was originally known as Artists' Agency. Helix Arts provided a paid bursary to selected artists to attend sessions in Newcastle City Centre. Following completion of the programme both Artists Sofia Barton and Lindsay Nicholson delivered a pitch at Newcastle Arts Centre. Helix Arts provided funding for the Younity Project after a successful pitch in September 2023. The funding was granted through Creative Central:NCL and is supported by Newcastle City Council and the North of Tyne Combined Authority.
